Promoting Economic Census 2016

BPS Klaten invited a number of employer association and professional association, such as: The Chamber of commerce, GAPENSI, AKLI,IDI, IBI, association of lawyer, notaries, in the meeting for promoting Economic Census 2016. This event was held on Wednesday, 27 April 2016, at Grand Tjokro Hotel, Klaten. It was attended by some businessman, among others: the owner of Amigo, the branch Manager of Matahari, Manager of Laris, representatives from public and private hospitals, as well as big enterpreneurs, and also related agencies.

The event was presented in the form of talk show, with speakers: Drs. Ahmad Isbani, MA, the chief of BPS Klaten, Ir. Otto Saksono, as a reprentative of Chamber of Commerce, and Agus Yulianto,MT, the vice director of POLITEKNIK Polman Ceper, Klaten, also known as a chairman of metal cluster establishment in Klaten. The talk show was moderated by Dea Yunita, a radio announcer of RSPD.

The event was opened by the assistant of the Klaten head regency, Purwanto AC at 09.00 WIB. In the opening speach, he read the speach of Klaten Head regency encouraging all of the stakeholders, bussinessman, and the whole society to participate for succesing Econim Census 2016. The economic Census 2016 will provide economic data needed by goverment for delivering the economic policies.

The chairman of BPS Klaten explained the economic development od Klaten regency compared surrounded regencies, and the results of previous economic census, 2006. Ir. Otto Saksono encouraged his colleagues to give the accurate data for the surveyors. Experiencing as a respondent of routinely BPS survey, he revealed that becoming a respondent is not related with taxes. Meanwhile, Agus Yulianto, ST, MT, described the importance of data in the business development.

Audiences seemed enthusiastic for participating the the talkshow by asking the questions regarding the collecting data in the economic census 2016 and some proposals regarding publicity of Economic Census 2016  to more aggresively.
