Tourism Development in Central Java in June 2014

Abstract

The number of foreign tourists (tourists) visiting Central Java through the entrance to Adi Sumarmo airport in June 2014 was 1042 people, down compared to May 2014 which was 1692 people, a decrease of 38.42 percent. When compared to the same period in June 2013, the number of foreign tourists in June 2014 also decreased by 37.94 percent, namely from 1679 people (June 2013) down to 1042 people (June 2014).

The largest number of foreign tourists came from French citizens, namely 359 people or 34.45 percent of the total foreign tourists visiting Central Java, followed by Malaysia with 265 people (25.43 percent) and from Singapore with 58 people (5.57 percent). ).

The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star hotels in Central Java in June 2014 was recorded at 52.87 percent, an increase of 4.77 points compared to the TPK in May 2014 which was 48.10 percent, when compared to the same period, namely June 2013 , the TPK in June 2014 decreased by 2.06 points.

The highest TPK in June 2014 occurred at 5-star hotels, namely 64.51 percent and the lowest for 1-star hotels at 41.56 percent.

The average length of stay (RLM) for all star hotel guests in June 2014 was recorded at 1.46 nights, which means a decrease of 0.02 points compared to May 2014 which was recorded at 1.49 nights.

In June 2014, foreign RLM was recorded at 1.92 nights, an increase of 0.26 points compared to the previous month, namely in May 2014 which was 1.66 nights, while for domestic RLM it was recorded at 1.45 nights, experiencing a decrease of 0.03 points compared to the May 2014 period which was recorded at 1.48 p.m
