Tourism Development in Central Java in July 2014

Abstract

The number of foreign tourists (tourists) visiting Central Java through the entrance to Adi Sumarmo airport in July 2014 was 1125 people, an increase compared to June 2014 which was 1042 people, an increase of 7.97 percent. When compared to the same period in July 2013, the number of foreign tourists in July 2014 decreased by 20.16 percent, namely from 1409 people (July 2013) down to 1125 people (July 2014).

The largest number of foreign tourists came from Malaysian citizens, namely 265 people or 23.56 percent of the total foreign tourists visiting Central Java, followed by 138 people from France (12.27 percent) and 61 people from Singapore (5.42 percent). ).

The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star hotels in Central Java in July 2014 was recorded at 44.33 percent, a decrease of 8.54 points compared to the TPK in June 2014 which was 52.87 percent, when compared to the same period, namely July 2013 , the TPK in July 2014 also decreased by 2.74 points.

The highest TPK in July 2014 occurred at 5 star hotels, namely 47.13 percent and the lowest for 1 star hotels at 39.52 percent.

The average length of stay (RLM) for all star hotel guests in July 2014 was recorded at 1.47 nights, which means an increase of 0.01 points compared to June 2014 which was recorded at 1.46 nights.

In July 2014, foreign RLM was recorded at 1.83 nights, a decrease of 0.09 points compared to the previous month, namely in June 2014 which was 1.92 nights, while for domestic RLM it was recorded at 1.46 nights, an increase of 0.01 points compared to the June 2014 period which was recorded at 1.45 p.m
