Abstract

The export value of Central Java in July 2014 reached US$431.28 million or decreased by 15.94 percent compared to exports in June 2014 (US$513.06 million). When compared to July 2013 (year on year) Central Java's export value also decreased by US$49.67 million (10.33 percent). Central Java's cumulative exports for the January-July 2014 period reached US$3,377.59 million, up 8.50 percent compared to the cumulative January-July 2013 (US$3,112.92 million)

Central Java's exports to the United States for the January-July 2014 period reached the largest figure, followed by exports to China and Japan. The export value to these three countries respectively reached US$731.60 million, US$412.45 million and US$301.31 million with a contribution of 42.79 percent to Central Java's total exports for the January-July 2014 period.

Textiles and Textile goods (11), Wood and goods made from Wood (09), and Various manufactured goods (20) are the 3 (three) main commodity groups that had the highest export value during July 2014. Textiles and Textile goods (11) contributed 37.02 percent, wood and wood products (09) contributed 18.09 percent and various manufactured goods (20) contributed 12.37 percent. The export value for these three commodity groups in July 2014 was US$165.18 million, US$73.94 million and US$55.64 million, respectively.

Central Java's oil and gas exports in July 2014 reached US$40.31 million, up 1.51 percent from oil and gas exports in June 2014, while non-oil and gas exports reached US$390.97 million or down 17.40 percent from oil and gas exports in June 2014.
