JAWA TENGAH ECONOMIC GROWTH QUARTER I-2015

Abstract

The Central Java economy in the first quarter of 2015 compared to the first quarter of 2014 grew 5.5 percent (y-on-y), slowing down compared to the same period in 2014 of 5.7 percent. In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by the Transportation and Warehousing Business Field at 14.1 percent. In terms of expenditure, the export expenditure component for goods and services grew 20.1 percent.
Central Java's economy in the first quarter of 2015 grew by 2.6 percent (q-to-q) compared to the previous quarter. In terms of production, this growth was caused by seasonal factors in the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Business Field which grew by 25.9 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, it was driven by growth in the Export Component of Goods and Services (12.0 percent).
