DEVELOPMENT OF FARMERS' EXCHANGE RATE AND PRICES OF JAWA TENGAH GRAIN PRODUCERS IN MAY 2015

Abstract

The Central Java Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) in May 2015 increased by 0.10 percent, namely from 97.84 to 97.93. This is because the change in the price index received by farmers (It) is higher than the change in the price index paid by farmers (Ib). It experienced an increase of 0.66 percent, from 114.46 in April 2015 to 115.22 in May 2015. Meanwhile Ib experienced an increase of 0.56 percent, from 116.99 to 117.65.

Of the 5 (five) agricultural sub-sectors that make up the NTP, 2 (two) sub-sectors experienced an increase in index, namely: the Horticulture sub-sector rose 0.84 percent and the People's Plantation Crops sub-sector rose 0.52 percent. Meanwhile, the sub-sectors that experienced a decline were: the Food Crops sub-sector down 0.38 percent, the Livestock sub-sector down 0.22 percent and the Fisheries sub-sector down 0.03 percent.
