Abstract

The Central Java economy in the second quarter of 2015 compared to the second quarter of 2014 grew 4.8 percent (y-on-y), an increase compared to the same period in 2014 of 4.2 percent. From the production side, the highest growth was achieved by the Corporate Services Category at 11.6 percent. In terms of expenditure, the export expenditure component for goods and services grew 9.6 percent.

Central Java's economy in the second quarter of 2015 grew by 2.6 percent (q-to-q) compared to the previous quarter. In terms of production, this growth is still influenced by seasonal factors in the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Category which grew 11.6 percent, where in this quarter there is still a big harvest of food crops in parts of Central Java. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, it was driven by growth in the Government Consumption Expenditure Component (37.0 percent).
