DEVELOPMENT OF THE CONSUMER PRICE INDEX/INFLATION IN JAWA TENGAH IN AUGUST 2017

Abstract

In August 2017 in Central Java there was deflation of 0.51 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 127.87. Deflation in August 2017 was lower than July 2017 which experienced inflation of 0.14 percent with a CPI of 128.53. Deflation occurred in all SBH cities throughout Central Java. The highest deflation was in the City of Surakarta at 1.02 percent with a CPI of 124.72 followed by the City of Purwokerto at 0.54 percent with a CPI of 126.78; Semarang City was 0.48 percent with a CPI of 127.63; Tegal City was 0.30 percent with a CPI of 126.04; Cilacap City was 0.23 percent with a CPI of 131.79 and the lowest deflation occurred in Kudus City at 0.16 percent with a CPI of 135.38.
