Central Java Tourism Development in December 2019

Abstract

The number of foreign tourists (tourists) visiting Central Java through the entrance to Adi Sumarmo and Ahmad Yani Airports in December 2019 was recorded at 3,285 visits, an increase of 10.16 percent compared to November when there were 2,982 visits.

The highest number of foreign tourists visiting through the Adi Sumarmo airport entrance came from China, namely 583, followed by Malaysia 29. Meanwhile, the most through the Ahmad Yani airport entrance came from Malaysia 891, Singapore 404 and China with 138 visits.

The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star hotels in Central Java in December 2019 was recorded at 53.29 percent, an increase of 1.11 points compared to the TPK in November which was recorded at 52.18 percent. When compared to the same period in 2018, the TPK in December 2019 also increased by 0.78 points.

The highest TPK in December 2019 occurred at 4-star hotels, namely 60.69 percent and the lowest for 1-star hotels at 34.54 percent.

The average length of stay (RLM) for star hotel guests in December 2019 was recorded at 1.36 nights, down 0.09 points compared to November which was recorded at 1.45 nights.

In December 2019, foreign RLM was recorded at 1.95 nights, an increase of 0.05 points compared to the previous month which was recorded at 1.89 nights. Meanwhile, domestic RLM was recorded at 1.36 nights, a decrease compared to the November period which was recorded at 1.44 nights.
